Our favorite type of maintenance—proactive stewardship—was the goal for keeping this newly constructed green roof in top shape. Not equipped with irrigations as well as sitting close to the lake exposes this roof to added environmental stressors, but that’s exactly the type of challenge we embrace.
Proactively adding our favorite hardy plants to the existing plant community not only provided needed diversification, but protects the space against possible wind scour. Needless to say, this is one roof we work to keep as resilient as possible.
