Semi-Intensive Rooftop Garden Installation | Continued Stewardship Program
The environmentally-minded owners of this design-build project reached out with the goal of creating a pollinator-friendly amenity space in the heart of Lincoln Park. Logistically challenging with no crane access (yet not wanting to trek through the house), we put on our thinking caps to come up with creative ways to get the job done.
The system we installed ranges from 3-8 inches in depth, which allowed for a more diverse plant community including such favorites as Columbine, Coneflower, and Purple Prairie Clover along with gorgeous porcelain pavers which work together to create a peaceful reprieve from city life for the homeowners and nature alike.
