Burns + Beyerl Architects approached our firm to complete their existing enclosed rooftop courtyard by creating a woodland garden complimented by a water feature of our design.
With the garden enclosed by office space,
we selected plants suitable for partial and full shade. The
red bud and service berry trees act as visual anchors for the
space, and are balanced by a mix of broadleaved-evergreen shrubs
that retain their leaves throughout the winter months. These,
along with a selection of colorful perennials, add up to a
garden that is expressive throughout the year, thriving in
the shadows of the office's walls. |
